We live in a time when eloquent words are plentiful and where every point of public communication professes to be the best source for what’s really true and most important.  From the partisan news desk to the biased political podium to the permissive church pulpit, we are bombarded with an endless assortment of ideological perspectives on every imaginable subject. Yet, despite this inescapable volume of human effort, in no way are people’s lives made better by what they hear, see, and are told to do.

In contrast to man’s efforts, the Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 2:4 reminds the local church at Corinth of how God does things: “And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power.” God’s ways begin far beyond where man’s abilities end.

At Antioch Central, we are not interested in impressing or entertaining you with new and better “enticing words of man’s wisdom.” Instead, it is our desire to introduce you to the “demonstration of the Spirit” and invite you to experience the awesome presence and power of God. The Antioch congregation includes people from distinct backgrounds and many different walks of life. We are a culturally, educationally, and economically diverse group of people drawn together by a life-changing encounter with the Spirit of God.
